FAQ's
Is there a deposit on a keg?
A refundable deposit of $50 per keg shell and $40* per tap will be collected. If you bring us a keg shell it will take the place of your deposit**.
*Taps for imported kegs may require a different deposit.
**Keg equipment not returned within 7 days is non-refundable.
Can I tap the keg as soon as I get it home?
During transport, the temperature of keg draft beer will rise slightly, and the beer will be agitated. This will result in foamy beer. Allow the keg to settle and acclimate to refrigeration (CO2 application) or on ice (party dispensing application) prior to dispensing to prevent foamy beer.
Why is my beer foamy?
Your beer is warm or you have too much pump pressure.
Warm beer:
Drain the water and add fresh ice to the container. Do not use rock salt.
Too much pressure:
Stop pumping the tap and hold the pressure release button on the tap until the air stops. Pump the keg a few times and your beer should pour without foam.
How long will a keg of draft beer remain fresh?
Keg beer will remain fresh if dispensing with CO2, while maintaining the proper temperature and pressure, for 30-45 days.
Dispensing keg beer with a party pump (air) will remain fresh for no more than 8-12 hours once it has been tapped.
