Shining ruby at its core with violet reflections, Beau-Rivage rouge shows fragrant blackberry, raspberry and boysenberry with a fruity Bordeaux typicity on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with firm structure and well-integrated tannins.
For more than 60 years, Beau-Rivage is one of the oldest Bordeaux brands and has been a reference point for quality by Borie-Manoux, a family-owned wine producer and trading house in Bordeaux started in 1870. Beau-Rivage means “beautiful shore” and is a tribute to the picturesque landscape along the Gironde and the rivers that feed it, the Dordogne and the Garonne. Throughout geologic history, the influence of those rivers created the gravelly soils Bordeaux is famous for — soils that produce some the world’s finest wine.

Location of Vineyard

The vines producing Beau-Rivage come from top AC Bordeaux vineyards situated on slopes between the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers. The mix of clay, gravel, and sandy soils helps create the unique Bordeaux terroir, identifiable in Beau Rivage. The Borie-Manoux team of enologists makes strict selections from these vineyard sites to produce a very consistent and value-driven Bordeaux wine.

Winemaking and Viticulture Philosophy

Beau-Rivage wines are 100% tank-fermented without the use of oak. The wines are made in a very fruit-forward, easygoing style that is meant to drink now.
