From a vineyard about 1,250 meters up, where the La Carrera Valley begins, this seems to be a rare specimen of cold-climate sangiovese, with acidity that marks the contours of the tongue with its sharp edge. It was 100% destemmed, aged in concrete vessels, and has a clear focus on tart red-fruit flavors. That acidity marks the entire terrain where this sangiovese develops, the firmness of its tannins, and the tension found in a wine that seems to be light, although it hides its fibrous, muscular side and its great yet measured strength. And the fruits shoot in every direction, like fireworks.
